Did R2-D2 have a predecessor – like a beta-version? Maybe.
So, here is my 1960's style version of it, with a short 'making-of pictorial'. The name T4-U2 came as I was looking for a backstory for this fella. It's a tea/coffee making dude. So, the name comes from 'Tea-For-You-Too', unless anybody missed that... Made the old school way, by hand, entirely from leftovers and trash, using an old vacuum cleaner as the top-dome. It as seven articulated parts and two add-ons – a grappling arm and a pouring nozzle. Still missing some cables.
